Hire me
I build websites and apps. One builder, twenty years of experience, and tooling that moves fast. Flat prices, no surprises, and you own everything. Most projects start within a week.
20% of everything I earn from this work goes to memory disease research. Not profit, and not what is left over. 20% of what I am paid. Here is where it goes and what has moved so far.
What it costs to build
-
One-page site
A sharp single page: your story, photos, hours, contact, map. Perfect for a shop, a service, an event.
$900 about 1 week -
Business website
Up to 6 pages, contact forms, photo galleries, search-friendly setup, and analytics so you can see your visitors.
$2,400 about 2 weeks -
Online store
Everything above plus products, cart, and card payments, set up and tested end to end.
$3,900 2 to 3 weeks -
Custom web app
Member logins, dashboards, bookings, portals, the tool your business actually needs. Scoped and quoted up front.
from $7,500 scoped per project -
Not sure what you need?
A one-hour working session: we map what would actually help, and you leave with a plan whether or not you hire me.
Keep it running, keep it growing
-
Care
Hosting, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, and small text and photo edits. The site stays healthy and you never think about it.
-
Care Plus
Everything in Care, plus up to 5 change requests a month. New pages, new sections, layout changes. Two-day turnaround on anything that fits in a day, and a short monthly note on how the site is doing.
-
Partner
Everything above, plus up to 15 requests a month including new features and tools, next-day turnaround, a monthly call, and a running list of what we build next.
How requests work: send them any time, in plain language. I work them one at a time and start the next one when the last is live, so you always know exactly where your request sits. Unused requests do not roll over. Anything bigger than a request gets quoted as its own small project first. All plans are month to month, cancel any time, and you keep everything.
Send me a job, get 20% of it
Anyone who refers a client gets 20% of that client's first project, paid to you once that project is finished and paid for. A $2,400 website in your referral is $480 in your pocket. There is no limit on how many you send.
Businesses, friends, neighbors, other trades: everyone is eligible. Just put your name in the last box below when they get in touch, or tell them to.
When you get paid: when the client makes their final payment and the project is done. Not at the deposit, because a project that gets canceled halfway would mean asking for it back, and I would rather never have that conversation with someone who did me a favor.
How you get paid: PayPal or Venmo, whichever you use. If what I pay you over a year adds up past a certain amount, that gets reported to the IRS by the payment app, the same as any other money you receive that way. I am telling you up front because finding out in January is worse.
How you pay me
Half up front, half when it is done. The deposit is what puts you on the calendar. The rest is due at delivery, and if you are not happy at delivery we are not done.
You get a real invoice you can pay by card or bank transfer. No retainer before we have talked, no hourly billing, no surprise line items. The price on this page is the price, and if something you ask for later is bigger than what we agreed, I quote it separately before I build it rather than adding it to a bill you have not seen.
Monthly plans you can start yourself. The buttons above set up the plan and the first payment. Builds do not have a button on purpose: I quote the work first, then send the deposit invoice, so you never pay for something we have not talked through.
Monthly plans are month to month. Cancel any time, and you keep everything.
Whose name is on the bill. I work through my company, Turtlevania Games LLC, so that is the name on your invoice and on your card statement. It is the same company behind my games. The work is mine and you deal with me directly, but I would rather you read that here than wonder about it on a bank statement.
How it goes
-
1
We talk
Fifteen minutes, plain language, no jargon. You tell me what you need.
-
2
I build
You see real progress in days, not months, and you review it as it grows.
-
3
You own it
Your domain, your site, your accounts. No hostage situations, ever.
Tell me about your project
No obligation and no sales call. Tell me what you are trying to do and I will tell you what it would take, even if the answer is that you do not need me.
I answer everything myself, usually the same day. Your details go to me and nowhere else.
